Recognition

Your qualification counts. It just has to be recognised.

You studied nursing in your country. In Germany that qualification is not valid automatically. The authority checks it and tells you what is still missing. That is exactly where we help you.

Two ways. Both lead to the goal.

Adaptation course

You study at the nursing school Lernwerkstatt Pflege and work in a hospital or care home at the same time. At the end there is a final interview.

  • You learn and work at the same time
  • You have fixed dates and know when you will be finished

Knowledge exam

You take a practical and an oral exam covering the whole content of German nursing training. It is faster, but harder.

  • Lernwerkstatt Pflege prepares you for it
  • If it does not work out, we prepare you again

German at B2 level

For recognition you need German at level B2. That includes the professional language used in nursing: the words for handover, for documentation, for talking with relatives.

You learn German up to B2 at our language school, and the nursing language afterwards in the pre-departure course.

What the pass guarantee means for you

If you do not pass the exam the first time, we prepare you again and cover the repeat exam. Neither you nor your employer pays extra.

The risk is ours. We say this clearly because fear of this exam is the most common reason why people never start the path at all.

The goal: your professional licence

At the end you receive a licence. It allows you to call yourself a nurse and to work independently in Germany. From that day on you are equal within the team.

Tell us about your qualification.

We will look at it and tell you which way is the right one for you.
